Provide an Education and Nutrition for Students in a Primary School in Jeremie

Over 80,000 refugees have come to Jeremie after the terrible earthquake of January 12, 2010. Most of these are women and children. They are having a most difficult time finding a place to live and obtain enough food to survive. The schools in and around Jeremie are overcrowded. They do not have the funds or the means to support all the additional children who have arrived.

For a dollar-a-day a child will be provided with an education and enough food to go through his or her day without hunger pains. All donations will be administered by responsible persons within the community to see that all funds are fully used as they were intended to be used.

For anyone sponsoring a primary student for a year ($30 a month for 12 months), the sponsor will be kept posted on how their individual student is doing on a regular basis.
